PHM’s 15 elementary, middle, and high school needed help transitioning to digital video—a widespread challenge faced by schools and other large institutions today. PHM were interested in finding a way to take video content, convert it to IP, and distribute it through the networks they already had in place.
PHM schools are now using the Inca HD AVC Encoder 3410 for their in-school TV studios to deliver school programming, such as morning announcements, and the Inca SD Encoder and Receiver 3410 to receive off-air HD channels like ABC, PBS, and NBC for multicast across their network. “The video quality is excellent and the schools are very happy with the high-def off-air channels we’re pulling down for them.
